Malaysia sits on one of the busiest trade corridors in the world. The Strait of Malacca carries roughly a third of global shipping past its coastline, Port Klang and Tanjung Pelepas rank among the world's top container ports, and the country's manufacturing base generates steady demand for freight in every mode, from electronics in Penang to automotive in Selangor and oil and gas in the east. The best logistics companies in Malaysia reflect that mix: global freight forwarders with deep local networks, publicly listed home-grown 3PLs, and specialists in haulage, express delivery and cold chain. This 2026 guide profiles ten providers with the strongest footprint in the country, listed in no particular order. Everything here is drawn from public reporting, company disclosures and industry coverage.
How we chose this list
This is an editorial guide, compiled from public sources such as annual reports, stock-exchange filings, press releases and trade media, rather than from paid placements or our own directory data. We weighed four things:
- Scale in Malaysia: revenue, warehouse footprint, fleet size and staff based in the country, not just a sales office.
- Breadth of services: freight forwarding, contract logistics, haulage, express and cold chain.
- Track record: years operating in Malaysia and publicly verifiable milestones.
- Network: domestic coverage across Peninsular and East Malaysia, plus international reach.
Figures are the most recent publicly reported at the time of writing. The companies appear in no particular order. A provider further down the page may well be the better fit for your specific lane or cargo type.

DHL Group
DHL has had roots in Malaysia since 1968 and was the first international air express company to operate in the country. Today four of DHL Group's divisions run in Malaysia (Express, Global Forwarding, Supply Chain and eCommerce), covering everything from international express and air, sea and road freight to contract logistics and e-commerce fulfilment. The group has been investing heavily: a new Kuala Lumpur Gateway opened in 2024 at a cost of around RM300 million, the largest local DHL Express investment to date, and DHL Supply Chain has earmarked roughly RM655 million through 2028 for new warehousing capacity, including the Penang Logistics Hub 5 and a South Region Hub.
Best for: shippers who want one provider covering express, forwarding and contract logistics with global reach.
Tiong Nam Logistics Holdings
Tiong Nam is widely regarded as the leader in Malaysia's domestic third-party logistics market, operating one of the largest specialised trucking fleets in the region alongside an expanding warehousing estate. The Bursa Malaysia-listed group posted record revenue of RM965 million for the financial year ended March 2026, up 12.6% year on year, driven largely by its warehousing expansion. Its network reaches across Peninsular and East Malaysia and into neighbouring Southeast Asian markets.
Best for: domestic distribution, trucking and warehousing at national scale.
Tasco Berhad
Tasco is the Malaysian arm of Yusen Logistics, part of Japan's NYK Group, and one of the country's most complete integrated logistics providers. It operates 24 logistics centres with around 2,200 employees and roughly 2.7 million square feet of warehouse space nationwide, with occupancy reported above 90%. Its revenue is spread across contract logistics, air freight and ocean freight forwarding, and it has pushed into cold chain through Hypercold Logistics, a 50:50 joint venture with Swift Haulage.
Best for: manufacturers wanting Japanese-network forwarding plus local contract logistics under one roof.
DB Schenker Malaysia
Schenker has operated in Malaysia since 1979 and runs one of the largest contract-logistics footprints in the country, with 28 warehouses totalling more than 2.8 million square feet and a headquarters in Shah Alam, Selangor. Globally the business became part of Denmark's DSV following its acquisition of Schenker from Deutsche Bahn in 2025, creating one of the world's largest freight forwarding groups, which further deepens the international network behind its Malaysian operations.
Best for: contract logistics and international forwarding backed by a top-tier global network.
Kuehne+Nagel Malaysia
Kuehne+Nagel, one of the world's largest sea and air freight forwarders, has been incorporated in Malaysia since 1985. It runs warehouses across Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, positioned close to the country's main airports and seaports, and serves Malaysian exporters and importers with ocean, air, road and contract-logistics services tied into its global network.
Best for: international sea and air freight on major trade lanes.
Swift Haulage Berhad
Swift Haulage is one of Malaysia's largest container haulage operators, listed on Bursa Malaysia, with a nationwide network of depots serving Port Klang, Penang, Johor and the East Coast. Beyond haulage it offers land transport, warehousing, container depot services and freight forwarding, and it holds a 50% stake in the Hypercold cold-chain joint venture with Tasco, which recently doubled its cold-storage capacity to 6,400 pallets.
Best for: container haulage between Malaysia's ports and inland facilities.
FM Global Logistics
FM Global Logistics (Freight Management Holdings) is a home-grown, Bursa Malaysia-listed forwarder offering sea and air freight, customs brokerage, haulage and warehousing, with a particular strength in LCL consolidation. The group reported revenue of RM817.5 million for its 2024 financial year and serves both Malaysian SME exporters and multinational accounts through its own overseas offices and partner network.
Best for: Malaysian exporters and importers wanting a local full-service forwarder, especially for LCL.
Pos Malaysia
Pos Malaysia is the national postal operator, headquartered at the Dayabumi Complex in Kuala Lumpur, and the owner of the country's densest last-mile delivery network. Since 2021 it has been transforming from a mail operator into a technology-driven logistics group, with businesses spanning courier and parcels, retail, aviation ground handling and cargo, and international mail. For e-commerce sellers its reach into every postcode in the country remains hard to match.
Best for: nationwide parcel delivery and e-commerce logistics.
GDEX
Founded in 1997, GDEX (GD Express) is one of Malaysia's best-known express carriers, running a hub-and-spoke network of 136 stations across East and West Malaysia, including 59 branches, 52 agents and 23 lodge-in centres. It offers same-day and next-day delivery, bulk shipment and cash-on-delivery services, and has expanded regionally with stakes in Indonesia's SAP Express and Vietnam's NETCO alongside its Singapore operations.
Best for: domestic express and B2B parcel distribution.
PKT Logistics Group
PKT Logistics is a privately held integrated logistics provider best known for its landmark, sustainability-led facilities. Its One Auto Hub in Batu Kawan, Penang is a roughly RM700 million development across three phases. Its centrepiece, The 12 Waves, is a RM120 million, 650,000 square foot warehouse recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as the country's longest and biggest single-storey warehouse, built with solar panels and natural lighting and ventilation. The group serves automotive and FMCG supply chains and even runs a logistics-focused education campus on the same site.
Best for: automotive and FMCG contract logistics with strong sustainability credentials.
How to choose between them
The right provider depends less on overall size than on fit with your cargo and lane:
- International air or sea freight: the global forwarders (DHL, DB Schenker, Kuehne+Nagel) and local forwarders like FM Global and Tasco will quote door-to-door including customs.
- Domestic trucking and warehousing: Tiong Nam, Tasco, Swift Haulage and PKT compete hardest here.
- Parcels and e-commerce: Pos Malaysia and GDEX own the last mile.
- Cold chain: the Hypercold venture between Tasco and Swift Haulage is the notable specialist among the majors.
Whoever you shortlist, get more than one quote, because rates for the same lane can vary widely, and confirm licences, insurance coverage and references for your specific cargo type. Our guide to the best websites to find a freight forwarder covers how to run that comparison.
Compare Malaysian logistics providers in one place
The ten companies above are the biggest names, but they are not always the best-priced option for a specific shipment. Malaysia has hundreds of capable independent forwarders competing on exactly your lane. CargoLinked's directory lists nearly 500 logistics companies and freight forwarders based in Malaysia, which you can browse by service and by city, including Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru and Port Klang. If you have cargo to move, you can also post your shipment for free and collect quotes from interested forwarders instead of contacting providers one by one.
