Freight forwarding software splits into three jobs that vendors rarely separate in their marketing: running the operation (shipments, customs, accounting), managing rates and quotes, and booking capacity. Most forwarders need the first, buy the second separately, and get the third free from a carrier portal. Buying the wrong layer is the expensive mistake.
Every claim below is taken from each vendor's own public pages, checked 16 August 2026. All are independent of CargoLinked. Pricing and product scope change. Verify before you commit to anything.
The eight systems
| System | What it actually is | Published price |

| Magaya | Forwarding and customs broking suite: shipping, WMS, tracking, accounting, ABI customs filing. States 2,300+ customers in 100+ countries | Not published |
| GoFreight | Cloud forwarding software: ops, customs, quoting, billing, customer portals | Not published (custom quote) |
| Logitude World | All-in-one forwarding software for SMB and fast-growing forwarders | Smart $75/user/month, Professional $99/user/month, Enterprise custom |
| Logiware (logiwareinc.com) | Forwarder TMS plus 3PL warehouse management in one platform | Not published |
| Freightify | Rate management and quotation only, not an ops or accounting system. States 200+ forwarders in 45+ countries | Not published (tiers named, no figures) |
| Freightos for Forwarders (formerly WebCargo) | Rate, quote and booking layer: air booking across 75+ airlines, sales portal | Book Air stated as free for forwarders; advanced modules paid |
| FreightPOP | Built for shippers, not forwarders: its own words are "mid-market and enterprise shippers" | Not published (tiers say "call for quote") |
Only one vendor tells you the price
Seven of eight are demo-gated. Logitude World is the only one publishing a rate card: $75 and $99 per user per month, with an enterprise tier for 30+ users. Freightify and FreightPOP both show a tier table with names and features and no currency figure anywhere, which is not the same as "starts at". Treat them as unpriced.
Per-user pricing matters more than the headline. A ten-person forwarder on $99/user/month is $11,880 a year before implementation, data migration or training, and the demo-gated systems are generally quoted well above that.
Two of these are not forwarder systems
This is where comparison articles usually mislead:
- FreightPOP serves manufacturers, retailers and distributors managing their own freight. A forwarder evaluating it against CargoWise is comparing different product categories.
- Freightify is a rate management and quotation layer. It is genuinely good at that job and does not attempt customs, operations or accounting, so it sits alongside an operating system, not instead of one.
Two naming traps: Logiware (logiwareinc.com, forwarder TMS) is a different company from Logiwa (logiwa.com, a warehouse management system for 3PLs). And WebCargo now redirects to Freightos and is branded "Freightos for Forwarders (formerly WebCargo)", the old name still appears in most comparison content.
What none of them do
Every system here helps you process work you already have. None of them bring you cargo. Rate management makes you faster to quote; it does not put a request in front of you. That is a separate problem, and it is worth being clear about which one you are actually trying to solve before signing a multi-year contract.
If the constraint is enquiry volume rather than processing capacity, start with how forwarders get inbound leads and how to list your company where shippers look.
How to choose
- Name the bottleneck: ops throughput, quote turnaround, customs filing, or lead volume. Each points at a different product.
- Check customs coverage for your actual countries. This is where suites differ most and demos differ least.
- Ask for total first-year cost including implementation and migration, not the per-seat figure.
- Confirm what happens to your data if you leave. Export format, and who owns the rate history.
- Run one real lane end to end in the trial: quote, booking, documents, invoice.
