DPU (Delivered at Place Unloaded)
An Incoterm for any transport mode where the seller bears cost and risk to the named destination and must also unload the goods there. It replaced DAT in Incoterms 2020.

DPU is the only Incoterm that requires the seller to unload at destination, which is what distinguishes it from DAP. Incoterms 2020 renamed the previous DAT rule to DPU and widened it: where DAT applied only to terminals, DPU applies to any named place, including a buyer's warehouse. The seller carries all cost and risk until unloading is complete, so it should only be agreed where the seller can realistically arrange unloading equipment at that location. Import clearance and duties remain the buyer's responsibility, exactly as under DAP.
