Full Truckload (FTL)
Road freight where a shipper books an entire trailer, which travels directly from collection to delivery without consolidation.

FTL means the trailer is dedicated to one shipper and normally runs point to point with no intermediate handling, which makes it the fastest and lowest-risk road option. It is the right choice above roughly half a trailer of volume, for time-critical freight, and for fragile or high-value cargo that should not be rehandled. Pricing is per trip rather than per pallet, so cost per unit falls as the trailer fills and an underfilled FTL is simply expensive.
