The time from departure at origin to arrival at destination port or door. Port-to-port transit excludes customs, consolidation, and inland legs unless quoted door-to-door.

Transit time is carrier-quoted port-to-port duration, excluding origin/destination handling, customs, and weekends/holidays. Door-to-door lead time includes inland legs, cut-offs, and clearance. Always clarify what is included in the quoted transit.
