Platform changes
Looking for the Freightbook network?
freightbook.net now sells a training course. What Freightbook was, what the domain does today, and what CargoLinked offers forwarders who were listed there.
What Freightbook offered
- A freight forwarder network and member directory operating at freightbook.net.
What has changed
Observed on 14 August 2026
freightbook.net returns a permanent redirect (HTTP 301) to freightbooktraining.com, which sells a heavy-transport e-learning course (7 modules, 71 sessions, priced per user) administered through DigiFreight. It is not a directory or a network. The redirect was still in place when we checked again on 18 October 2026.
What CargoLinked offers instead
A free directory you can be found in today
CargoLinked lists logistics companies in 194 countries. Adding a company that is not listed is self-serve: the listing publishes as soon as it has its basic details, with no document review and no waiting period. Claiming a listing that already exists uses a code sent to an address at the company's own web domain.
Freight requests from shippers, answered with structured quotes
Shippers post a freight request for free. Companies with a live listing whose coverage includes the origin or destination country can reply with a quote in US dollars, a transit time, a route, a validity date and notes. The shipper compares the quotes side by side and accepts one; the transport contract is between the shipper and the provider, and CargoLinked is not the carrier.
A free plan, and paid plans priced in the open
A Listed plan is free and keeps a company visible in the directory. Paid plans add a monthly allowance of quote responses and the Connected badge; the prices and what each plan includes are on the pricing page, with no quote required.
An optional, scoped Verified badge
A company can upload registration documents for a person to review and earn a Verified badge that says exactly which facts were checked and when. It is free, it is optional, and a listing without it is not treated as suspect; most listings do not have one.
What CargoLinked does not do
Read this before you switch; it is as important as the list above.
- CargoLinked is not a forwarder network: there is no membership agreement between members, no payment protection fund and no conference. Forwarders can find each other in the directory, but the relationship is theirs to arrange.
- Listings are not reviewed before they go live. Only the Verified badge involves a document check, and it covers the specific facts it names.
- CargoLinked does not quote instant rates, does not take bookings and does not handle payment. Quotes are written by the provider and the shipment is contracted directly with them.
Common questions
- Is Freightbook still a forwarder network?
- Not at its old address. Since at least 14 August 2026, freightbook.net has redirected to a training-course site under a similar name, and nothing there lists forwarders or offers membership.
- How do I get my company listed on CargoLinked?
- Create a free account and add the company. The listing publishes itself once it has a name, head office country and city, a description, at least one service and at least one country served. If the company is already in the directory, claim it with a code sent to your company email domain.
- Will shippers actually find me?
- Listings are public pages indexed by search engines, linked from country, city, service and trade-lane pages. Shipper requests are matched to companies whose coverage includes the origin or destination country; replying needs a plan with responses left. CargoLinked publishes no reach figures, so judge it by searching the directory for your own market.
