Shipping Modes
Project Cargo
Large, heavy, high-value or complex consignments — typically industrial plant and equipment — that require bespoke engineering, routing, and handling.
In depth
Project cargo covers movements that cannot be booked off a rate sheet: turbines, refinery modules, transformers, mining equipment. Each shipment is engineered — route surveys to confirm bridges and bends will take the load, lifting studies, specialist trailers, sometimes temporary civil works, and often police or utility escorts. Lead times run to months and the transport plan is usually developed alongside the construction schedule. Insurance is arranged specifically for the movement because the values and the consequences of delay are far outside ordinary cargo cover.
